Professional Bio
Dr Bennett Sheridan Paediatric Cardiologist and Intense Care Specialist. He values family centred care in his practice and believes the best care is delivered in partnership with the patient and their family.
His current appointments include Consultant Cardiologist at the Department of Paediatric Cardiology and Specialist in Intensive Care in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit for the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He is also a Medical Donation Specialist with DonateLife Victoria and a Senior Fellow with the Department of Paediatrics for the University of Melbourne. He is a Research Associate with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and an Executive Member of the Senior Medical Staff Association at The Royal Children’s Hospital. In addition, Dr Sheridan sees patients in his private practice at Cabrini Hospital.
Dr Bennett Sheridan is a medical graduate of Monash University and completed Paediatric and subspecialty Paediatric Cardiology. He continued his Paediatric Intensive Care training with the Queensland Paediatric Cardiology Service and The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne.
He serves in a number of clinical leadership roles including Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society - International Committee: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, The Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators: Leadership for Clinicians program, and The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne; Clinical Ethics Response Group. He is Clinical Lead for Focused Cardiac Ultrasound and major research themes include Acute Cardiac Care and Point-of-care Ultrasound. Read more about his research.
